Konfirm is a Shopify app that automatically verifies Cash on Delivery (COD) orders via SMS, Email, and WhatsApp. When a customer places a COD order, Konfirm sends a confirmation message within 15 seconds with one-tap Confirm/Cancel links on every channel. The thank-you page shows where the message was sent and updates automatically. Orders are tagged cod-confirmed or cod-cancelled in real time, reducing Return-to-Origin (RTO) losses.

Three paths, all one-tap. (1) WhatsApp — tap Confirm Order or Cancel Order directly in the WhatsApp message. (2) SMS — open the confirmation link in the text and tap Confirm or Cancel. (3) Email — same as SMS via the link in the email. The Shopify thank-you page tells the customer which channel was used and updates automatically once they respond.

Built-in Email and WhatsApp work worldwide with zero setup. Built-in SMS via Twilio currently supports India only (valid +91 mobiles). For any other country, connect your own MSG91 or Twilio API details in Settings → SMS. You can also optionally connect your own SMTP or WhatsApp Business account.

WhatsApp business messages must use Meta-approved templates. Konfirm has an approved Utility template for every message style (e.g. konfirm_otp for Friendly & Simple) with order details plus Confirm Order and Cancel Order buttons. Style and language both follow Settings → General. SMS and Email use the same style via a secure link. Enable WhatsApp in Settings → WhatsApp; it's off by default until you opt in.

You control how long the confirmation link stays valid — 12, 24, or 48 hours, or Never (the default) — under Settings → General. When a link lapses, the order is tagged cod-expired so you can decide how to handle it — hold, cancel, or ship at your own risk. Choose Never to keep confirmations open indefinitely.

Yes. Konfirm listens to the orders/create Shopify webhook and automatically detects COD orders based on the payment gateway. It handles all common COD gateway names including "Cash on Delivery", "COD", and "Manual". No manual tagging or intervention required.

Yes. When you connect your own MSG91 account in Settings, you can specify a DLT-registered sender ID and use your TRAI-approved template. This ensures reliable transactional SMS delivery to Indian phone numbers. Built-in Twilio SMS also supports India (valid +91 mobiles) but uses an alphanumeric sender, which may be blocked by some Indian carriers. For India-focused stores, using your own MSG91 account is recommended. For SMS outside India, connect your own SMS provider.

Yes. Konfirm is GDPR-compliant and implements all three mandatory Shopify data webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Customer phone numbers and emails are never sold or shared with third parties. Data is anonymised on request.

No. Konfirm runs entirely asynchronously via background job queues. The Shopify webhook is acknowledged in milliseconds. All order processing and message delivery happen in the background — your store's checkout flow is completely untouched.
